Accommodation

Short Term Accommodation refers to support and accommodation away from  your usual home for a short period of 2 to 6 weeks. This short stay may be on your own or with other people and may become necessary when your caregiver is not available or if you want to try something different. Our short term houses are specifically designed to support people living with disabilities, with round the clock care and access to professional staff that help you navigate daily living and other high care needs.  With us, you can meet new people and gain new experiences in a caring environment.

If you’re in the process of transitioning to a new permanent home, Medium Term Accommodation may just be the solution. This service is ideal for NDIS participants who are waiting for their long term home to become available and allows you to stay in a welcoming, supported environment instead of having to remain in hospital longer than necessary or forced into aged care when you are not yet ready. At Reach For Care, we provide you with a comfortable home during your temporary transition for up to 90 days.

Respite care allows families to place their loved ones in our friendly care home for a change of pace and break from your everyday routine. Research shows that respite leads to better caregiver health and wellbeing. At Reach For Care’s respite care facilities, you can rest assured that your family member is well taken care of at all times by experienced, welcoming professionals. We offer recreational, leisure and social activities in our respite care facilities.

Supported Independent Living (SIL) refers to a category of funding from the NDIS that allows you to have daily support in your own home or shared living space. We can assist you with as much or as little support as you wish, from lower needs, to standard needs to complex needs with the goal of helping you live as comfortably and independently as possible. The services offered include supervision of daily tasks such as cooking, medication management, mobility, personal hygiene, toileting, household cleaning and maintenance and even 24/7 support if needed.
